Impulsively, her husband grabs her by the throat, squeezing hard enough to leave finger marks, gives her a punch or two in the forehead and shoves her to the ground.

He acts like nothing happened, or that “she made him do it”. Then, the honeymoon interlude plays and he is all sweet, gentle, extra nice to her and coerces her to have sex with him.

She fearfully gives in; trying to believe that he has made a mistake, and in his promise that it won’t happen again. She thinks that he really does love her since he stays with her. She lets him inside of her - as if she really had a choice - and moves a certain way so that he thinks that she wants him.

She has to fantasize about someone else so that she can be pleased and not anger him further from his inadequacy of love. She makes him feel like a man and he is then satiated and doesn’t hit her for a while.

He uses his penis as a weapon of power over her and demands his right as a husband over and over until her fragility can’t handle it anymore and she refuses. As his hands close around her neck once more, he ridicules her that she is nonsexual, dried-up and a dead fuck.

Time after time...until the escalation reveals the end.
